2021 Aeropress Finnish Championship recipe
3.10.2021 We had the honor of hosting the Aeropress Finnish Championship at our roastery. Representing our roastery in the competition was our barista, Tuomas, who humbly brought home the brightest, golden trophy! If you want to try the 2021 champion's Aeropress brew, you can find the instructions here:
- 11g Coffee (El Amate coffee from Guatemala was used in the competition)
- 200g Water (filtered through the Salpausselkä ridge, perhaps the best tap water in Finland from Lahti)
- Double filter
- Inverted
- Start by pouring 60g of water, stir for 15s
- Pour the remaining water 140g. Water the filter and put the "cap on".
- Wait 2min 10s, light shuffle, flip and 20s of determined pressing.
The competition was very even at the top. There were also great performances from Michael Kaffa Roastery, who finished second, and Anna Kirjala Coffee Roastery, who took third place.
